Testimonials:
Because of the stress and anxiety I have faced in 100 years of living, I wanted to leave a legacy beyond the history of my family and our brewery. Kerry personally and emotionally connected with this 100-year-old man’s “will to live” message and created a cast that shares their own experiences with stress and anxiety honestly and candidly. She delivered what no one else could, an inspirational film that will impact people of all ages. Kerry, I can never thank you enough.

Kerry David is, quite simply, one of the best producers and creative collaborators I have worked with. Highly intelligent, resourceful, creative, and indefatigable, Kerry has extraordinary people skills, a deep and broad knowledge of the film business, and she somehow manages to remain calm and inspiring in situations which would send other producers screaming from the set. Her honesty and integrity should be an example to everyone in the business. If your goal is to learn the producing business, you can do no better than to learn from Kerry David.
Stephen J. Rivele - Author/Producer/Oscar Nominated Screenwriter - Nixon, Like Dandelion Dust, Ali
Kerry David and I are involved in a movie project together. She has very good instincts about casting, budget and about how to raise money. My first producing job was on a low ($120,000) movie we shot in my house. All I can say is that had I been mentored by Kerry, my life would have been much easier. She knows when to be tough; when to be supportive and lets nothing stop her from protecting the movie and her people. I only wish Kerry had been my partner on my first movie.

Kerry David; a wonderfully talented producer with an infectious fun energy that makes it such a pleasure to work with her. "Perfect Romance", Lifetime.
Ian Henry Cusick - Actor McGuyver, The 100, Scandal, Lost, Perfect Romance
Kerry David is, without doubt, one of the best producers I have ever worked with. She is relentless, fearless and talented, and lets absolutely nothing stand in the way of her putting the best possible product on the screen.
Christopher Wilkinson - Oscar nominated Screenwriter, Nixon, Ali, Making Miles: Miles Davis Story
I had the most delightful fortune to work with producer Kerry David on the film "Like Dandelion Dust." From the minute I booked the job to the day we wrapped I felt nothing but sheer joy, total professionalism, and strength from every single communication with Kerry. She is lightening quick to identify problems and act in a way that is both direct and utterly gracious. Her communication is the perfect embodiment of heart and intellect. A rare and wonderful woman, whom I would never miss an opportunity to work with again.
Abby Brammell - Actress; Bosch, The Unit, Like Dandelion Dust
First off, Kerry David is one of the smartest film producers I have ever worked with. We met when she asked me to participate in her documentary, SEEKING HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Since then I have consulted with Kerry on both film and new media projects. Like her, I have worked in the business for a number years yet I needed real insight on certain projects. Because of her extensive travels, her viewpoint is more global then the small world of Hollywood. Kerry David is an invaluable resource for film, TV and content producers, thoughtful and forward thinking. If you are new to the business, Kerry is patient, understanding and decisive. If you are a vet, she pushes you to be more innovative and strategic. I strongly recommend Kerry as a film and content consultant.
Karen Kaufman Wilson, Director of Programming, Lifetime Original Movies
Kerry David has worked long and hard to produce many of my scripts. And always did it with humor, tenacity and professionalism. And in 2022, she succeeded in producing my film THE Journey Ahead for Hallmark Movies and Mysteries that aired in July. I couldn't have been happier than to have my first purchased script be the fruits of all her hard work. I am forever grateful.
Erin Engman, Screenwriter
Of all the people who have asked me for recommendations or testimonials on their behalf, THIS is the one I have been waiting to write! I had the great fortune of working with Kerry David on my first feature film, which I co-directed and she produced. All I can say is how thankful I am to have had Kerry as my very first producer. She is an amazing talent whose vast knowledge of the business is only superseded by her kindness and generosity of spirit. Kerry's skills as a producer are phenomenal and crucial: not only when it comes to getting the best from the respective crew members around her, but ensuring that the entire production runs smoothly from day one. Her work as a producer in development, physical production, and post production, continues to be the most informative and efficient force on her sets - with her singular goal always being to achieve the best end result possible.
A producer should provide a terrific working environment for everyone from the P.A. to the Director, and Kerry knows it. A producer should have the knowledge and experience to anticipate and put out any inevitable fires that arise throughout any production. A producer should make sure all of the tools needed by the director to tell his or her story are readily available. A producer should never give up on making the movie the best it could be no matter what hardships are encountered along the way. These are all things a producer should do....and they are all exactly what Kerry David does do, and she does it brilliantly at that. Any advice, suggestions, information, answers you receive from her should become your gospel. I know that my career as a filmmaker would not exist without Kerry David, one of the best producers in the business.
Brian Herzlinger - Director & Screenwriter
Kerry David is the kind of producer directors dream of. She's creative, she's resourceful, she knows the business, and she supports the director's vision above all else. When Kerry is producing, I know I'm in good hands. Kerry has produced projects for me ranging from comedy to drama, independent to studio, and covering a broad range of budgets - and she is spectacular in every situation. I never want to direct without her!
Jon Gunn - Director/Writer/Editor: Like Dandelion Dust, Magic 8 Ball, My Date with Drew
Kerry is a talented hands-on producer who knows how to take an idea or a script, develop it, and see it through to a completed film. Working with her is always a great experience!

Kerry's due diligence and attention to detail ended up saving us time and money on a project we worked on together. I look forward to working with Kerry again and hopefully again and...

Kerry is a tremendous resource and her advice has been invaluable in the development of my feature film project. She understands both the business and artistic aspects of filmmaking and, most important, understands context and is able to identity what will work for a particular project and what won’t. Perhaps Kerry’s greatest skill, however, is her contagious confidence and enthusiasm, which she combines with a realism that challenges you to identify and pursue strategies that present the best opportunity for success. Kerry is also a tremendous listener and is one of those rare people that make you smile and drop whatever you’re doing when you see she is calling or emailing.
Scott Semer, Director, Attorney, Columbia Law School
Kerry is probably the smartest, most resourceful and entrepreneurial producers I can think of. Her business sense is sharp and ahead of the curve, her rapport with the industry's top talent and executives is impeccable, and she has wonderful track record of success. And above all else, she's a great person to be around and learn from!

Kerry is dedicated, inspired, passionate and above all, tenacious. "No" to her just means that another approach is necessary, and if the front door won't open, she's likely to try alternatives, using the window if that's what it takes to get the job done. And at the end of it all, you can trust that if it can be done at all, Kerry will actually do it... and do it right.”

I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with you, Kerry. In our time together you have given us insight into the documentary film world from a unique perspective – what works, what doesn’t and what could possibly be done to create a new business model for the industry. For this we thank you.
William F. Brandt Jr., - CEO, Speaker, Leadership Expert, Producer (Here Is Better)
Kerry David embodies all the qualities of the consummate executive and producer, chief among them creativity and enthusiasm. Applying her keen intellect and her passion for excellence to every project she undertakes, Kerry, understandably, has enjoyed many successes in her career. I would welcome any opportunity to work with Kerry again.
Hudson Hickman, Producer, former Snr V.P. Production, MGM Television
I’ve been a writer/producer of network TV and film for 30 years, and I can say unequivocally that Kerry David is among the best creative minds in the business. Whether dissecting a script, working with talent, interacting with studios executives or dealing with business affairs – Kerry is always at the top of her game: intelligent and savvy, with great people skills. I have called upon Kerry many times for advice and counsel, most recently on a documentary I produced and directed with actor/comedian Howie Mandel. Her feedback and guidance has made all the difference in the successful completion of the film. One last note: as serious as Kerry is about any project she takes on, she’s enormously fun to work with – something I appreciate more and more the longer I work in this business.
Steve Sunshine, Writer/Producer/Sr. Producer "Extra", Los Angeles
Kerry is extremely talented and knowledgeable, and is highly respected within the film world, but what sets Kerry apart is that she truly cares about the people she works with, and the projects she invests her time in. She is passionate and dedicated, and I can't recommend her highly enough.
Sean Cross, Producer, Director Vail Film Festival, Colorado
A producer is someone who does the job everyone thinks someone else is doing. This is Kerry David - a one person SWAT team of smarts, humor and talent who delivers, under budget on time and with a smile. Hire her, you'll be lucky to have her on your team.

“I believe anyone who wishes to receive mentoring, probably cannot find a better person to study under or learn from than Kerry David. Her breadth of experience as a Producer is vast, but just as important, is her warmth and authenticity. When you meet her, you know she cares, and who wouldn’t want to learn from someone who wants you to succeed?”
Jerome Courshon, Producer and Distribution Expert
Kerry's amazing. A. Maz. Ing. She wears class and sophistication like a flawless, lingering complex perfume (even if she's hiking). She is cheerful and inspiring even when completely focused and on-point (which she always is). From producing major motion pictures (like Agent Cody Banks) to shepherding small independent movies (like My Date with Drew) or documentaries (like Happily Ever After) to unique and intimate industry networking events (SchmoozeFests) to styling Nicole Kidman, Kerry brings an eclectic skill set and productive and constructive "Can Do" attitude to each and every challenge. We should create a whole new organization for her: "Angels in the Industry" - and she'd be an ArchAngel.
Kerry is a very caring, extremely knowledgeable and strategic coach who will get you there. She speaks from having done it, made the deals, made it happen. I strongly recommend having her on your team if you are serious and have a big goal you want to attain in the film industry.
Heather Hale, Screenwriter, Producer, Director, Speaker
It is a rare thing to come across a person like Kerry and trust me when I tell you that I don't say this lightly. Her insights stem from a unique and exciting perspective that is hard to find within the industry. Her wisdom and guidance as a consultant has not only given me the confidence to keep pursuing my ambitious goals as a director, but has provided a solid foundation for an upcoming feature film.
If you are looking for someone who has an incredible amount of expertise and who can guide through the ups and downs of life in the film industry with both grace and a wonderful sense of humor, then look no further. Kerry David is a gem and I am extremely grateful for the impact she has made on my career.
Timothy Moran, writer/Director Goalcast
Working with Kerry has been incredible. She has a unique ability to identify core issues, give you the tools and straight talk you need to pull yourself out of the trenches, and she celebrates your wins like no other. She is a true partner in the process of achieving greatness and I'm grateful for her guidance.
Samantha Kris, Key Note Speaker, Author - Goalcast
Kerry is an amazing individual who can make miracles happen, and has for me several times in several different business ventures. Every time I interact with Kerry I'm inspired by the possibilities and her infectious optimism and joie de vivre!
Rafe Furst - Entrepreneur, Filmmaker, Social Innovator
Writing a recommendation for Kerry is a daunting task! There is simply no way to sum up such a tremendous asset to the film industry - and to everyone who knows her - in a single paragraph on LinkedIn. I met Kerry when I won her 2007 IndieProducer screenwriting contest and she and Jon Gunn later hired to me to write one of their movies. She is deeply committed, boundlessly energetic and disciplined, highly knowledgeable, incredibly well-liked and connected, and one of the kindest people I have ever met. Her tireless and selfless efforts on behalf of new writers are beyond compare. She is collaborative, tactful, smart, creative, focused and fun - indeed, truly a rare gem. I am honored to know and have worked with Kerry, and very much hope to work with her again. Her commitment inspires others to give nothing less than their very best.
Anne MacIver, Screenwriter, Attorney
Kerry David is the best. For my company, she produced a challenging golf shoot. With limited time and budget she navigated the strict rules of a world class golf course while still managing to satisfy the creative requests of a passionate director. She adeptly lead her filmmaking team to a successful shoot that came in on time and under budget. In post, she guided the process to completion and we ended up with a multi-award winning DVD. Kerry's producing style is a blend of genuine kindness and skillful determination. She gets the job done -- every time! And she manages to do so while making fans in the process. She really is the best.
Michael Keller, American History X, Fools Rush In.
Kerry's mentoring has been crucial in my confidence in moving forward as a creative producer. As a mentor, she is incredibly knowledgeable, generous and gives you the tools and insight to help you manifest your vision. Kerry is a rare and refreshing beacon in an industry where professionals can sometimes covet their knowledge and be reluctant to help others succeed. I was fortunate to meet Kerry through her company IndieProducer and ever since then have forged a strong professional relationship that I treasure. Kerry's passion for filmmaking is contagious and I am always moved by the projects she produces and inspired by her dedication to quality filmmaking. Any time I have a question on how to get a project going or hit a roadblock, Kerry is the first person I think of contacting. If you want a mentor who has tremendous integrity, a wealth of experience, and truly one of the kindest people you'll ever meet, it's Kerry David.
Maria White, Producer, Artist
Kerry helped take a new producer (me) and helped me frame my presentation to the film community in a way that was competent, interesting, and passionately clear that this film would get made. She was my first “voice” in Hollywood and helped me look at what to do first, where not to waste my time, and how to stay true to my vision. Her kindness and clarity have stayed with me through the ferocious months and years it takes to get an indie to the screen.
Deborah Allen, Screenwriter and Producer, JANE, the movie.'
"Kerry David is worth her weight in gold. After my script "The Coyote Crossing" won first place in the Indieproducer.net screenwriting contest, she invited me out to LA not once, but twice to meet with studio executives and producers. She willingly took time out of her busy schedule to mentor me and gave me invaluable insight. I am honored and privileged to have met her and consider her a friend. She is a person of extreme integrity and I wholeheartedly give her my recommendation.
Eric Reynolds, Screenwriter, Winner, "8th Annual iP Screenwriting Contest"
Kerry's wise and smart counsel helped us shape the film festival strategy for 'Aloha Daze'. We abandoned the normal submission process after several rejections and looked at a neat strategy to promote the film to festival directors. After working with Kerry, 'Aloha Daze' was picked as the opening feature for the 2010 Big Island Film Festival. We won the Audience Choice award for Best Feature and the lead actor won the 'Spirit of Hawaii' award. Kerry is energetic and always enthused, providing sound advice based on years of experience on her many projects as a producer. Kerry is integrity with a great smile!
Kim Spanoghe, Producer, Indie Kine Films: (Aloha Daze)
Kerry David is amazing. I would prefer to leave it at that, as a one paragraph quote--or collegiate thesis for that matter--wouldn't cover the topics necessitated by a self-declared "professional recommendation" for Kerry. Per contra, I have worked and meditated with her on several projects and events over the past two years, and while she consistently delivers dynamic thoughts and solutions to the ebb and flow of hurdles in this industry, she does so with a personal charisma and sincerity; often resulting in associates and clients becoming hyphenate-friends. I am among her "hyphenate-friends," and am proud to be so, because like I said, Kerry David is amazing.
Gato Scatena - Producer, Distributor
I always say that we owe all of our Butterflies success to Kerry. Being that our first feature film, I felt that we had good product on our hands but after being rejected from all the festivals we applied to, I felt hesitant and lost. Thankfully at the right time we met Kerry through IndieProducer.net and she agreed to help us get on the right indie filmmaker path. Until than, I simply didn't understand that true indie films have a whole different festival circle and that applying to major film festivals might not be the right investment for us. We have completely changed our direction after talking to Kerry and submitted the film to smaller festivals around the world. The feedback was completely different and almost overwhelming. We premiered at Los Angeles to a sold out audience, we got some press interest, more festival screenings, a couple of awards and distribution! Who knows what would happened to Butterflies if Kerry didn't believe in it. She said that good films have audience, you just have to look for it in the right place. And she was right.
Thank you Kerry
Ester Brym, Director and Editor.
When my screenplay won the horror genre in the IP Screenwriting Competition, Kerry arranged meetings with industry professionals who may want to help get my work produced. The most valuable meeting I had was with Kerry herself. Because of her vast experience in the business, she was able to share insider knowledge of the industry that you can't get from books. Kerry is upfront, smart and truly cares about getting independent filmmakers a leg up in the business.
A. Blaine Miller, Director, Dalliance Films.
Kerry David is the woman you want on your team! Kerry hired me as an associate producer for the Miles Davis Documentary for HBO. Kerry's communication and investment to every single person involved was amazing. She was the leader that made everyone feel confident that the job was getting done in a caring and meticulous way. Kerry's respect and caring for every person on board created a team that was completely invested in doing the best job possible. She is a true leader and and a seasoned producer. Kerry will not settle for less, and her strength is going the extra mile to make sure the journey of getting there and the finished product is something that everyone is proud of. From having screenings at her house to creating a community of like-minded individuals, it is obvious that Kerry is inspired for everyone to succeed. She is a force to be reckoned with and I am proud to have her as a mentor.
Lauren Bratman, Producer
Kerry is an amazing mentor. She's learned so many tricks of the trade in her years of filmmaking, and she shares them generously when she's working with you. She doesn't want to just complete a task, she wants you to learn how to do it so you'll have the knowledge to do it on your own next time. She's incredibly resourceful, and sees the word "no" as a challenge and opportunity to try things in a new way. It is a genuine gift being around Kerry's creative and collaborative spirit!
Michelle Cove, Best Selling Author/Journalist/Co-Director (Seeking Happily Ever After)
"I recently hired Kerry to consult with me on two of my upcoming film projects and couldn't have been more satisfied with her knowledge, professionalism, insight, and collaborative spirit. She far exceeded my expectations on every level. I truly look forward to working with her again in the near future."
Michael De Roker, Producer, Director, Writer, Wonderland Pictures, Inc
My short film, “Arithmetic Lesson,” won the 2009 Indie Producer Best Short Film in Drama. I honor the validation and accolade the award brought to my work. The amount of support I have received from Kerry David has been amazing. She is someone sincerely eager to foster new filmmakers by finding ways to get our foot in the door. She has been actively helping me set up meetings with managers and agents. Her energy, sincerity and enthusiasm makes me feel hopeful about networking for my future work.
Wenhwa Tsao: Graduate Program Director, Film & Video Department, Columbia College Chicago
Kerry David is smart, honest and resourceful, a dynamic intensity that any project would benefit from. I'm grateful for being able to work with her on one of her most recent projects through Lucky Crow Films and fascinated by all the information and connections she so freely delivers via Indie Producer. I'd recommend Kerry for Domestic and International Productions.
Susan Johnston, Founder, New Media Film Festival, VP Production-Big Vision Studios,
Nine months ago I had a conversation that changed my life forever. It unleashed a side of me that I didn't even know existed. Suddenly, I stopped being afraid. As soon as I put down the phone everything fell into place in my heart and my mind. With this new found sense of clarity and fearlessness I picked out the notebook of ideas that had been hiding away in my handbag for about a year and made a decision there and then. I was going to write a script, find a cast, crew and direct the script. Everything seemed to fall into place, and what I had always thought would be a hurdle or barrier became a bridge and a magnificent adventure.
The conversation that started this journey for me was with Kerry David. Her words, passion, honesty and her wisdom touched me more than I could have ever expected. The only way I can describe it is like having a surge of electricity that passes through you and all you want to do is keep that energy alive...in fact you have no choice. So many people have embraced the project, and the inspiration, optimism and energy triggered by that very first conversation is still very much alive and real.
Everything Kerry said that evening has become a reality for me, because I stopped being afraid and started to be brave. If it wasn't for that one significant conversation, I wouldn't be able to say "I am a filmmaker". I thank Kerry for that, and I hope one day I can inspire someone in the same way.

Working with Kerry has been incredible. She has a unique ability to identify core issues, give you the tools and straight talk you need to pull yourself out of the trenches, and she celebrates your wins like no other. She is a true partner in the process of achieving greatness and I'm grateful for her guidance.
